In October 2025, Pedro Alamaraz from Simon’s Tree Nursery donated 2 Eagleston Holly Trees to the City of Orchard City Hall. With a thoughtful evaluation of the area, Pedro organized his team to place these trees in perfect locations in front of City Hall. With all the work completed, the city monitored and ensured that the trees would be able to sustain through the Texas winter and ARE very pleased with the final presentation to this date. The City Council presented Simon’s Tree Nursery with a Certificate of Appreciation on May 11, 2026. As of October, to present day, the trees have taken root and are growing wonderfully, growing little berries and flowers providing sustenance to so many local bees (even bumble bees, they are fascinating to watch). A big Thank You to Pedro and his team from Simon’s Tree Nursery, for your kind donation to the City of Orchard. Unfortunately, Pedro and his team were not able to join for photos, as this is a very busy time for them.
